Robert Lipman -

The formation of a charity-based Retreat for kids and young adults has been Robert Lipman’s lifelong dream and aspiration. This is the primary reason Lipman retired from 36 years of practicing law to dedicate the next chapter of his life to this goal.

Robert Lipman Creates Retreat for at Risk Teens

In 2010, Lipman purchased nearly 450 wooded acres near Ellijay, Ga., featuring two lakes, three mountains and 13 miles of hiking trails. A professionally designed campground with a 9 bunk treehouse overlooking a creek and authentic moonshine stills and Cherokee Indian artifacts. To fully implement his mission, Robert Lipman has partnered with two state-funded childrens homes and charitable organizations as well as multiple charitable organizations serving at-risk underprivileged kids.

"For kids who have never left the city and never seen the forest, the wilderness cleans the spirit and the mind.”

At his retreat, there is no religious or philosophical doctrine attached to the getaway, all organizations serving underprivileged youth are welcome. No child will ever be charged to utilize Robert Lipman’s private mountain wilderness experience.

“If I can make a difference in just one or two lives, and assuredly create a lifelong positive memory, it will be worthwhile to me.”
